The Caminhos do Futuro (Paths to the Future) project drives energy transition in Brazil by encouraging innovative solutions to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. The initiative works by developing research, coordinating partner networks, and formulating advocacy strategies to accelerate the adoption of clean technologies in the transportation sector.

We ensure cleaner vehicles on Brazil's roads
We prevented the schedule for marketing cleaner vehicles from being postponed for three years. This way, we ensured the implementation of the new rules of the Motor Vehicle Air Pollution Control Program (Proconve). With the Invisible Enemy campaign and actions with Conama and the Federal Public Ministry, we achieved important advances in pollution control and the protection of everyone’s health.
The Clean Bus Law Will Save Lives in São Paulo
We participated in the creation of Law No. 16.802/2018, which establishes a total reduction in emissions from the bus fleet within 20 years. With our own study, we demonstrated that delays in the energy transition could cause 10,000 premature deaths and billions in costs to the healthcare system. This achievement transformed urban mobility in São Paulo into a national model of innovation.
