Executive team

The Instituto Ar was founded and is led by women. The team is based in São Paulo–SP, and its members comprise the administrative, institutional development, communication, research, projects, and public policy areas.

Evangelina Araújo

Executive Director

She is a physician who completed residencies in clinical pathology and microbiology. She has a Ph.D. in pathology from FMUSP and is a specialist in sustainability management from FGV. She is the founder and director of Instituto Ar and works at the Central Laboratory of HC-FMUSP. She also works as a consultant in health and sustainability.

She has a degree in advertising from USP and an MBA in cultural assets from FGV. She worked in the cultural sector for over ten years as an executive producer and at agencies such as Lew Lara/TBWA and Ogilvy & Mather.

Communication and Institutional Development Analyst

She has eight years of experience in communications and digital marketing, focusing on social impact projects in the areas of health, sustainability, and education. She has degrees in Public Management from FGV, Performing Arts from ESACH, and Advertising from ESPM.

Project Analyst

She holds a degree in international relations and a postgraduate degree in human rights. She leads the Doctors for Climate Movement and the Health and Climate at Work project at Instituto Ar, where she focuses on social and environmental action.

Renata Costa

Senior Research Analyst

She holds a Bachelor of Science in physics, a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in environmental sciences, and a specialization in active remote sensing. She develops computational models for data analysis in atmospheric science.

She is a physician with a Ph.D. in pulmonology from Unifesp. She is a researcher at Instituto Ar, where she studies the impact of air pollution and climate change on respiratory diseases. She is also part of the Médicos Pelo Clima (Doctors for Climate) project.
